2015 Mazda Mazda6 i Touring. 26/38 City/Highway MPG

Reviews:
* When function and form are treated as one, engineering is elevated to an art form. The Mazda6 is the product of engineer and designer working in unison, from start to finish, daring to reimagine the automobile as a whole. It is the true definition of the modern sports sedan. The 2.5L SKYACTIV-G gasoline engine takes the technology of its 2.0L predecessor and pushes the boundaries of innovation even further. Mazda engineers increased its torque output to 185 lb-ft, which means you get more power transferred to your wheels for significantly better off-the-line and cornering performance, all without compromising fuel efficiency. Combine it with the ultra-responsive 6-speed SKYACTIV-MT manual or the smooth 6-speed SKYACTIV-Drive Sport automatic transmission and the result: 184 horsepower and an astounding EPA-estimated 38 MPG hwy (Up to 40 MPG hwy with Grand Touring 2.5L with AT and Technology Package). It all begins when you slide into the luxurious driver's sport seat and fire up the engine with the push button start. With Mazda's newly available Commander Switch, you can control the available navigation system, sound system and Bluetooth phone and audio streaming conveniently from the center console. Other available features include leather trimmed upholstery and heated sports seats. The available fully integrated in-dash navigation system with a 5.8-inch touch-screen display featuring intuitive voice recognition. Crisp, immersive sound is delivered through an available 11-speaker Bose Centerpoint Surround Sound System with AudioPilot ambient noise compensation technology. With the SKYACTIV-Body, SKYACTIV-Chassis and intuitive safety technologies, Mazda6 is built to protect. Safety features include six standard airbags, should the airbags deploy standard E911 notification uses Bluetooth and your paired phone to call 911 automatically. Available Blind Spot Monitoring uses motion-detecting technology to scan your blind spots. Source: The Manufacturer Summary

  • Great Car At A Great Price

By Mike on Friday, May 26, 2017

I was looking to replace a car I wasnt happy with the one I had, initially looked at Honda Accord. I was trying to stay with in a budget and while the Honda seemed like a great car I felt I would have to settle for less features for the price. I went to Mazda knowing their cars are right up there with Honda and I was pleasantly surprise. The Mazda 6 had more features for the same price plus it was a very sharp car. After looking at a few dealers I settled on the one I bought a Touring model with the optional Bose/Moon Roof package. While I have only had it a short time I love this car, it drives great, looks great, and I got an awesome deal, could not be happier. I would certainly recommend this car. Of note a friend bought an Accord LX for the same price, while I wont knock his choice I do know who got the better deal.
  • Great vehicle and the safety was proven.

Was very impressed with this vehicle when I first looked at it. I own an Audi A6 and was purchasing this for my daughter. She drove other vehicles but once she drove the Mazda 6 she was done looking and I was glad. Very nice vehicle for the money and more importantly to me I liked the upgraded safety on the 2014 model. That got tested today as evidenced by the photo. Three teenage girls walked away with minor scratches after getting T-boned by a large 4X4 truck. Her replacement will be another Mazda 6.
  • Winner in class hands down

I have now had my Red Mazda 6 Touring w/o tech for a week now and 350 miles. Awesome, best in this class and I definitely made the right decision. After over 3 months of looking and multiple test drives on most of the models I'm glad I waited for the 2014 to come out. None of the others in the class made me feel like "this was the car", I felt like I was going to have to settle. I even tried the Audi, Acura and BMW. The 6 was very close to them for a lot less money. The only one close was the Accord Sport, nothing else compared after I drove the Mazda. I wanted something that not everyone else had (Accord, Camry). The Altima was in the mix, but I could not get over the velour on the arm rest. If your looking for a car in this class you HAVE to drive the Mazda!! As my wife said if you want to feel old drive the Camry. I absolutely love this car, gas mileage was the best, it has ZOOM ZOOM, Pandora is great, blind spot monitor, rear camera plus the added motion detector when backing up (already saved me once), blue tooth works great, the red color (lots of compliment) is awesome ( silver was also sharpe), front seat is comfortable as is the leatherette (I'm 6'3" and fit great wife is 5'4" and also fits great). Have a average of 27mpg so far. The only con so far is the clock is down low and not by the dash. Do not let the dealer try to make you pay sticker price, if your willing to drive you can find a dealer under sticker.
